The fourth annual Congressional Foster Youth Shadow Day brought more than 60 foster youth alumni from across the country to Capitol Hill for a day of shadowing members of Congress. They got a behind-the-scenes look at the House of Representatives and the opportunity to share their experiences in the child welfare system as a way to influence policy around foster care.
This congressional briefing will discuss the specifics behind these recent State efforts to achieve better outcomes for vulnerable children and families through Title IV-E child welfare demonstration projects (also known as waivers).
